I've been using mine for a while now. It works great, and it has nice indicator lights to show it's receiving power. There's a red LED on the cig lighter plug portion, to show it's receiving power. Better yet, there's a bigger greeen LED on the converter block in the middle. This LED is quite helpful because its brightness depends on the strength of the power running through it. So when my laptop started acting strangely one night while I was using this charger with portable power supply battery, I looked at the green LED and saw it dimming and fluttering, so I knew the power was almost gone on the power supply. I would not have know any other way, and I might have drained that external battery to nothing and thereby ruined it.
