My original cord broke, it got too hot and the wires got messes up inside so it couldn't be fixed. I went looking for a new one at stores, however they were way too exepensive. My friend told me to try out amazon.com and sure enough there was a cord for sale about 50$ cheaper including shipping. I am overly satisfied with the product I received and it works perfectly.

I purchased this from Smart Parts USA back in Aug of 2008. Within a month part of the adapter broke and I needed to send it back for a replacement. It is now June of 2009 and the adapter is fried and is completely useless. I wish I would have spent the money and bought directly from HP.

i was very skeptical about buying a aftermarket computer product, but i wasn't about to pay hp price for a replacement power cord. so far, this cord works great. doesn't get hot and charges the dv9000 just fine. this laptop was inheirted in an estate and we had no idea when it was last charged as we never found the oem cord. im glad i took a chance on this charger. for $28.00 & free shipping, i don't mind buying another if this one fails!

my cat ate my old cord so i really needed a new one but when i asked the price on a new one at best buy they told me over $100 so i am glad i found this one. it works great and fits fine.
