This charger is an original HP product and works great with my HP laptop. The same charger cost twice the price in stores. I have purchased generic chargers and they only lasted a few months before I had to replace them. This charger is built well and has outlasted the generic chargers by far. I highly recommend this product.

I ordered this product back in may to replace the original, which like everyone elses' failed at the connection point. This one fits the laptop perfectly. If you use the included velcro strap to looped the cord near that weak point, it keeps the stress off of it. The original had the weak point, so I assume its in the design. This one doesn't overheat, and I've yet to have an issue with it.

This product has worked great ever since I recieved it. My original Adapter failed basically due to wear and tear. I had had my old one for 3 years before purchasing this one. No problems at all. You just have to be sure to store the Adapter and chords properly or else the attached ends will be damaged. Great Buy!!

The adapter I received when I ordered this item is not HP brand merchandise. The item title "Original HP..." would lead one to expect it should be. It does work with my dv 1000, and I intend to keep it. Can't comment on durability as I've only had it a week.
