I ordered this after months of using my iPod Touch or a Campus computer for all computing needs. It was shipped in a timely fashion, which was good. The adapter itself is a little less than superb. You can tell it's cheap plastic and the connection between the two parts of the adapter tends to come apart little by little on its own. Luckily it hasn't disconnected without my noticing yet. It is HP, it is NOT Hewlett-Packard. I feared this might happen at such a great price and it did. My biggest complaint really is that it is short, I have to situate myself pretty close to an outlet in order to use my computer.



Good news: it does what it's supposed to, just don't twist it too much and keep an eye on its middle connection. Connection to the computer is snug. A good cheap alternative to HP's $70 one which is the only option for my model of computer.

I bought this product in April 2008; it is just now breaking, and i've put it through the ringer. Cheaper than HP or any retail store, and it lasted as long as the original HP product.



The nature of the current malfunction could probably be fixed by soldering - basically, one of the two metal connectors within the adaptor on the AC end burned a hole through the solder-looking material on top of the circuitboard, and so the connector wiggles around - when the connector does not quite touch the metal, it sparks in attempt to make the connection, so I had to rig it about a week ago to make it work.



My only beef is that the casing is very weak and had to be electrical taped together after a short time.

Definitely worth buying. I bought one so I could leave one at my work station and the other in my laptop case so I don't have to constantly get under my desk and plug/unplug it when taking my laptop away from the office.
