My old battery lasted about 10hrs. It went as low as 20mins so i replaced it.This new one last about 3hrs on low power stetting and it is much lighter. It is better than my old one but, its not what i expected in terms of battery life.

One of the tabs on this battery is too small, so gravity pulls it away, not really far but enough to break the electrical connection, which completely crashes the laptop.

It's truly useless. Returned for a refund.

After receiving this item, I charged the battery for 24 hr, drained it completely (~3%) and recharged it once again. Anytime afterwards, my laptop would bluescreen, reporting a hardware problem in WinDbg, within 2 min of removal from a power source.

I was able to return the product with a full refund; thus, my advice is to watch the return policy...

The battery works, much better than the battery it replaced. The fact that it is not too expensive is a positive.

The only problem is that at most you can get 1 - 1 1/2 hours out of a use, so it is always important to have your power cord close by.

The charger would not charge unless I put tape to hold the charging cord to the charger box part and still had some issues. I can get it to work if I really need it for an emergancy but otherwise I dont care to use it at all

Battery was defective. It shut my HP DV6700 notebook down abruptly with 30% remaining. I thought maybe it was a caliberation issue, so pulled the battery out for few minutes to hard reset the notebook. Tried the same procedure several times for the next 3 weeks. Now it consistently, abruptly shuts down between 5% and 10%. Not worth the risk of losing data from this. Also battery charge now only holds a little more than the extended HP battery it's replacing.

It's big and heavy. It fits into the original slot snugly. So far it charges well and cycles well. The added height provides good ventilation for the fan on the bottom (who designed the fan on the bottom?!).

Bottom line: now the laptop is a laptop without a tether again - good for at least ~3hrs.

Just received a recall letter from HP, but already recycled the original battery, duh!
